Match play tournaments: Draw arenas for all games in one click
Add a button that will assign as many arenas as possible so the tournament organizer doesn't have to click on each game one by one to assign arenas.

Let players notify TD that they need assistance
If the tournament organizer has a phone number attached to their account, let players send a message to the organizer (without revealing the organizer's phone number!)

Selfie: Let players modify score and arena after game has been submitted
Everyone has fat fingers from time to time. Would be nice if players could modify scores and arena on selfie submissions after the fact... as long as the tournament organizer has not approved the score.

Create 3 Game Guarantee Brackets
A 3 Game Guarantee Tournament simply means that every player is guaranteed to play a minimum of 3 games. 3 Game Guarantee Tournaments are set up similar to Double Elimination Tournaments. There is a winner's bracket and a loser's bracket, the main difference being players that lose their first two games will get to play an extra game in the loser's bracket in order to ensure everyone gets to play at least 3 games.

Group matchplay scoring for 3 player groups - 3/2/1
New group matchplay scoring 3/2/1/0 for 4-player groups AND 3/2/1 for 3-player groups. This works well for swiss pairings where 3 player groups are at the bottom of the standings and avoids the messiness of .5 pts.

Add strikes to single elimination format
Single elimination is good final format but it is missing possibility to Best of X games. We never play finals with only one machine.

Implement 'UK' Flip Frenzy rules
The way we're pretty consistently running Flip Frenzy tournaments in the UK now is that after a heads-up match on game X, player 2 stays on the machine (but now plays as player 1). The player that was Player 1 returns to the queue, and the next person from the queue joins the game (as player 2). In summary - you get two games on the machine (first as player 2, then as player 1) before returning to the queue.

Make IFPA Results Available After a Tournament is Closed
Hey! Matchplay ratings are great, but they only work if folks close their tournaments and submit the results.
Forcing a user to close out a tournament to get the easy to use IFPA results is low hanging fruit to help improve the Matchplay ratings system as a whole.

Add ascending / descending options to "play order"
In group Matchplay I want the higher position player to play last. In 2 player groups, play oder "standing gives choice" to the top player, but in 4p choice is too complicated, so I would like the play order listed with top player last. Maybe this is a new play order in the listing or a modifier to reverse.

Merge Arenas
I've noticed that my arenas list is getting kind of messy over time. It would be nice if it supported the same merge functionality as players. I'd love to be able to merge some of the duplicate arenas that are, in fact, the same game. (And, of course, not have it break references to those tourneys they were used in.)

Maintain player name searches when a player is added.
When a player is added using the partial name search to filter the player list, the search field is cleared.
Frequently a family of players will walk in together, and it would be nice to filter on last name and then add several players.

Fix Standings on Big Screen View for Progressive Strikes Tournament
Once again we had confusion over standings when a round was "in progress". I recommend sorting the standings with the following technique:
First issue: players are grouped by number of rounds won, but they should be grouped by number of strikes to account for manually adjusted strikes.
Second issue: players in a round "in progress" should be assigned a partial strike for sorting purposes, and displayed in italics, or with an icon (maybe question mark in circle with the X-in-circle strikes) so it's clear that they're still playing.
So in the standings, you'd have 0-strike players who have completed the…

Balance Arena Draws When More Than 2 Players on Multiple Pins
Applies to any head 2 head format. We have X pins on location. Each pin has an A and B arena (i.e. Metallica A and Metallica B). This allows 2 matches to be drawn on the same machine when we have more than 2X people.
Occasionally this results in Matchplay putting 4 people on a few pins while leaving one completely unassigned. Can we make it so Matchplay knows that Metallica A and B are the same pin, and fill all other pins (A arenas) before doubling groups on pins (B arenas)?

Enter scores by player across multiple machines
This is useful when scores are recorded by player on a sheet e.g. best game and then all the scores are entered by a scorekeeper later. Currently must back out, choose machine and choose player each time. Better to choose player once and then choose machine, enter score, choose machine, enter score etc.

Selfie/best game: Let TD change arena after game has been submitted
Currently tournament organizers can change the game score after a selfie has been submitted. IT would be nice if the organizer could also change the arena in case the player has entered the wrong arena.

Support OAUTH to allow other web apps to authenticate users who are logged into Matchplay.Events
I am writing a web app for pinball players which requires them to login to the app. Most of my potential users already have matchplay.events accounts and stay logged into matchplay.events in another browser window or tab.
I would like to allow them to login to my web app without needing a username or password if they are already logged in to matchplay.events. OAUTH support from matchplay.events would allow me to offer this.
This would work in the same way that people can login to the uservoice website using Facebook or Google (except matchplay.events would play the role of Facebook…

Fix the bug with Round Robin pairings player order
In some round robin tournaments, one player is always assigned to be player 1 in the player order. I believe this happens any time a round robin tournament has an even number of players.

Display round Robin tournaments one round at a time
I love the idea of a Round Robin tournament but I hate how matchplay displays it.
It shows every round at once which can be confusing for players. Is there a way we can have it show a round at a time then move onto the next round?2 votes
