  1. Add an option for balanced arenas across a series

    I like using the balanced player pairings across the series. Our league meets for 12 weeks and this is great for mixing up who you play each week. We have a surplus of arenas, but some players claim they often play the same arenas week after week. I'd love it if the arenas could be balanced across all 12 weeks too. I know it still wouldn't be perfect since the arena choice would be based on what the competitors have played also but would hope it might decrease week to week repeats a bit.

  2. Give TD's an option for how byes effect the final standings of a knockout tournament

    Add an option to award zero wins to a person with a bye in a 3 strikes tournament? I am of the personal belief that a bye should not count as a win, and go through the results after the fact and adjust for ties before submitting to the IFPA or a 3 strikes league results page.
    If one player goes 0-3, and another player goes 0-3 with a bye (so they are eliminated in round 4).

  3. Allow multiple/assistant TDs for a Tournament/Series

    I'm using MatchPlay for our league, and sometimes need to have an alternate TD run a league night. I can add him as a Scorekeeper, but he also needs access to add players and arenas to the tournament.

    Should I just have a separate MatchPlay account set up for our league that either one of us can log into?

    Currently one can automatically generate a finals round from an individual event, it would be great to be able to create a finals from a tournament series as well.

  5. Add an Option in Swiss Formats to Draw Three-Player Games for Best Players

    Right now the Swiss Format will assign three-player groups to the bottom of the standings. It would be appreciated to have an option where three-player groups are assigned to the top of the Standings. The better players arguably play longer games, and this will allow the assignment of three-player groups to those players which would potentially speed up play.

  6. New Format: Roundless Robin

    I would like a format mixing PPP! and Round Robin - whenever a game ends, two players that have not yet played one another are placed on that game. Thie intent is to eliminate down time between rounds and maximize diversity of opponents - In traditional Round Robin, if two people would play one another in the next round, why not start the game now?

    This could also be implemented as a Flip Frenzy configuration option where where opponents that have already been faced are skipped in the queue.

  7. Partial Round Robin with balanced opponent difficulty

    I'd like to run a balanced partial round robin tournament. The idea is to avoid some of the delays that occur due to one or two players taking much longer to play than other players, while ensuring that each player has a schedule difficulty roughly equal to that of other players.

    The tournament director chooses how many games to be played by each player. This number could be smaller than the number of players. For example, the tournament may have 30 players, but each player may play only 9 opponents.

    It would be great to have a button or something to randomly redraw the game selections for everyone but keep the groups the way it is. Right now the only way to do this is to scrap the round and redo the whole thing.

  10. Include more info on tournament player summary page All matches table

    In the "All matches" table include the player in the list of opponents for each game. Show results for all players (1st through 4th, strike/no strike). Show round number for each game. Show current tournament position and number of players (e.g. 3rd of 17) at top of "All matches" table.

    It's hard to remember, review or discuss tournament results without all this info. To get this extra info now requires several extra page loads.

    Example, I go to a good player's summary page and see he/she finished 2nd in an earlier game, but I can't see who won the game.…

  11. Allow TDs to manually adjust player's points for all tournament and series formats

    TDs should always be able to adjust points as needed to handle mix-ups, ties, local rules, formats not entirely covered by the matchplay configuration, etc.

  12. Provide a way to manage absolute ties

    Right now if multiple players have the same score recorded on a game the tie is determined by the order the score was entered. In group formats the TD can modify points manually to account for this, but there are some formats where this is not possible.

    TDs should be allowed to select if ties result in an actual tie and how lower-down results are treated (one below, skip positions, etc.)

  13. Provide a view of Arena/Location historical data

    In a single tournament I can view the number of times a given arena has been played and the playtime for each. It would be extremely helpful to see average playtime, number of plays, number of times an arena has been replaced, which players have played an arena, and even some data over time (play frequency or similar) across all tournaments using that arena.

  15. Stop creating new games when pausing flip frenzy

    Can we have an option to stop creating new games when you pause the flip frenzy timer?
    Much like when the timer ends it asks if you want to create a new game or clear the queue.

    It would make breaks a lot easier to manage and put the players back in the queue until you resume or create games on arenas.

  16. Remove "Deactivated" players from seeding or allow player removal

    Is there any chance of making it so that "deactivated" players are not shown in the ifpa rankings tab? As players drop out and new ones come in, the fact they are still shown and numbered throws off how easy it is to make groups (ala 1/16/1736) when every # is off because of crossed out players.

    Or allow the ability to remove players from tournaments if they were put in by accident or drop out before tournament start.

  17. Flip Frenzy - Auto-assign random available arena after malfunctions

    For Flip Frenzy tournaments, when there is an arena malfunction, I would like to see a replacement arena assigned automatically (and at random) from the set of currently available arenas. As it is implemented today, when an area malfunction is noted, the game is disabled, the players go back to the top of the queue, but the TD must manually select another available arena as its replacement and more importantly, there is no way for the arena to be chosen at random.

  18. Restricted division (B Div) standings

    Add in alternate restricted division standings into MP. Such as B Division standings, and/or Novice division standings. Given how each player’s MP player profile is often linked to their IFPA #, it might be very seamless (from the TD perspective) to simply pick an IFPA ranking threshold, and then let all the behind-the-scenes software comparison of each player’s rank vs the threshold determine whether they’re included in the B Div rankings, etc.

  19. Group Elimination Format Improvement for Playoffs

    The group elimination bracket is a good playoff format after a group match player qualifier. However it has ONE flaw. All round smuts have the same number of games.

    Id like to see a way to change that.
    For example, on an 8 person bracket where we need 6 more TGP (3 games in four player groups):
    The Semi-Finals (round 1) can be two games per round.
    The Finals (round 2) can be one game of the top 4 people (since other 4 were already eliminated) - winner takes all.

  20. Game Bank selections

    The game banks addition is really nice, especially with the printed scoresheets. My only request/suggestion is allowing the manual selection of a game bank. This way players (such as the top seed in each group) have the option of picking a game bank, rather than it being randomly selected. For now I'm just manually changing the games in the banks that are randomly selected with the games in the bank the player chose as a workaround.
