In a series, allow "Keep best N results" in addition to option of dropping "worst N results"
When creating a tournament series, I would very much like the option to keep the best N results in addition to the option of dropping the worst N results. For example, I'd like the option to keep the best 2 results. The only workaround for this does not behave in the desired way.
Choosing "drop worst two" results causes the series rankings to be nonsensical until at least three results have been logged. Whereas, "keep best two" would rank according to the first result after the first result is entered and according to the best two results after the second…
5 votesThe ability to "keep best" results rather than "drop worst" in a series is now available in Match Play NEXT version.

Flip Frenzy - Change the order of items for the next match to - NAME / Player 1 / NAME / Player 2 / Machine
I went to my first Flip Frenzy tournament and had a BLAST - but I noticed that I had to pay careful attention to EVERY match announcement, because the machine and player numbers were announced before the names were. Often players had to go to the desk and ask for clarification because they heard their name, but not what their number or machine was. If you change the order, people will know to listen for their name and that their number and machine will follow.

Notifications Placement
Can you have the notifications show up just under the menu so that the menu isn't covered up? An example where this is less than idea is when entering several scores in on the scorekeeper. You enter a score and the notification covers the menu so can't click on scores to go back to the list of games.

Expand Limit on number of players per account?
I run a lot of tournaments for a lot of unique players at my 1 locations. I think there is a limit of 1000 unique players that you can put into the system. At least there is on mine and I can't see anymore past 1000 in my alphabetical player list. Can you expand that?

Preferred machines (for streaming)
Hi.
We are pinball tournament streamers (JDL PINBALL) and would love to have a feature where particular machines (with our streaming rigs on) could be given priority in the selection for each round. This would prevent qualification rounds where neither of our rigs are set-up.By the way, Matchplay is awesome, we use it for just about all of our tournaments here in Germany.
Cheers!
Jim23 votesThis feature is now available in the new version of Match Play. You can mark one or more machines as being preferred and they'll be assigned to a group in every round.

Delete a planned tournament
If I have a planned tournament I should be allowed to delete it since no statistics will be lost. If I accidentally clone the wrong tourney I can't delete it. I should be able to.

Add "Games played" column to best game format standings page
When playing a limited qualifier 'best game' format a lot of people have trouble figuring out how many games they have left to play.
Other issues are not knowing what position they are in based on scores around them since a lot of players wait until the last minute to put in their final game
Currently the only way to do it for players and TDs is to go into each profile on the standings page and count the number of games played manually.
If there is a simple column on the standings page with a number of games counted…

"Clone" tournament should set date to today
When using the "clone" tournament on an existing tournament, 99% of the time you're doing it to create a new tournament for today. The tournament date should be set to today, not the original tournament's date.

Move "Save" button to the top of page when editing tournament details
It's easy to make changes and not save them. The area where you make changes to the tournament details isn't close enough to the save button.

Flip Frenzy - Minus 5 mins option
Currently there is an option to add 5 mins, however if you start a Flip Frenzy with the wrong time there is no option to adjust backwards! We started one at 3 hours instead of 2.5 hours, and needed to manually stop the clock and deactivate players at the 2.5 hour time. Would be good to add a "Minus 5 min" button next to the "Add 5 min" button

Allow space for the Home bar on iPhone X
On iPhone X devices, the Home bar can obscure things at the very bottom of the page, such as the "Matches completed" progress bar. Please add a margin to the bottom of the page that to compensate for that.

Allow players to submit golf scores
Adding a feature where players can submit pingolf scores directly from their phones. This is in line with other tournament formats where players can submit their own scores. This would be very helpful for the pinmasters format.

create a link for streamers to pin an arena to scene.
Similar to the broadcast link but rather than call the info via a round I would really appreciate just a link per arena that I can enter into the scene on my streaming software for that arena so that when I bring up the area TNA - automatically this link is updated with the current play. The current solution requires alot of manual editing of the scene, where as my suggestion could allow for unmanned streaming of games.

New tournament format: Target Match Play
This is the qualification format used at "Pinball at the lake". The tournament organizer sets a target number of points. Players play a regular match play tournament, but when a player reaches the target score they are considered "qualified" and will be removed from subsequent rounds.

Allow "big screen view" to be displayed when not signed in
The Big screen view is inaccessible if you are not logged in as the tournament director.
Often the streaming/projecting PC is not logged in, so it would be helpful if this page was always visible, similar to the Broadcast view.
For example, see:

People often refer to each other by tag rather than name, so having the tag next to the name and IFPA number would make the life of a tournament director a bit easier.
